Privacy Policy
Last updated: August 30, 2026
This Privacy Policy explains how Jazz Games (“Jazz Games”, “us”, “we”, or “our”) collects, uses, and discloses information when you use the Kera mobile application and related websites (collectively, the “Services”), contact our support staff, or otherwise interact with us.
We may change this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make changes, we will revise the date at the top of this page and, when appropriate, provide additional notice. We encourage you to review this policy whenever you use the Services.
1. Who we are
Kera is operated by Jazz Yazılım Anonim Şirketi, a company registered in Türkiye, trading as Jazz Games (“Jazz Games”, “we”, “us”, “our”). For privacy questions or requests, contact us at hello@jazzgames.net.
2. Information we collect
Depending on how you use Kera, we may collect:
- Device identifier. An anonymous device UUID we generate and store on your device so we can sync your profile, progress, and purchases without requiring an account.
- Profile & onboarding answers. Information you choose to provide (for example goals, gender, age range, hair type, and questionnaire responses) to personalize your hair profile and routine.
- Hair photos (optional). If you choose photo check-in, photos you capture or select are uploaded briefly to our servers so our analysis service can generate lifestyle hair-care suggestions. Photos used for analysis are deleted from our storage shortly after processing. Analysis results (such as scores, profile summaries, and routines) may be retained to power your in-app experience.
- Progress & routine data. Check-ins, checklist completion, streaks, and related care activity you record in the app.
- Purchase & subscription data. Processed by Apple, Google, and our subscription partner RevenueCat. We receive entitlement status needed to unlock Premium features; we do not store full payment card details.
- Diagnostics & usage. Technical information such as device type, OS version, app version, crash logs, and approximate usage events via Firebase Analytics and Crashlytics, to keep the app reliable and improve the product.
- Advertising measurement (where permitted). With your permission on iOS (App Tracking Transparency) or via platform settings, we may use advertising identifiers to measure campaign performance. We do not sell your personal information.
- Support communications. Information you send when you contact us (for example by email).
3. How we use information
- Provide, operate, and improve Kera (profiles, routines, progress, Premium features)
- Run hair-photo analysis and deliver lifestyle care suggestions
- Process subscriptions and restore purchases
- Measure reliability, diagnose crashes, and understand feature usage
- Respond to support requests and enforce our Terms of Use
- Comply with legal obligations
Kera offers hair-care lifestyle suggestions, not medical advice. It does not diagnose or treat any condition.
4. How we share information
We share information only as needed to operate the Services, including with:
- Service providers such as Google Firebase (hosting, storage, analytics, crash reporting), Google Gemini (photo/questionnaire analysis), and RevenueCat (subscription status)
- App platforms (Apple App Store, Google Play) for distribution and billing
- Legal / safety recipients when required by law or to protect Jazz Games, our users, or others
- Business transfers in connection with a merger, acquisition, or asset sale
We do not sell your personal information.
5. Photo processing
When you use photo mode, images are transmitted securely to our backend, processed for lifestyle hair analysis, and then deleted from storage. We instruct our analysis systems not to identify the person in a photo. Analysis outputs are stored against your device identifier so you can revisit your profile and progress. You can also use questionnaire mode without uploading photos.
Face data
Kera does not collect, generate, or store face data. The app analyzes photographs of your hair, which may include your face because hair is photographed on the head. Kera performs no face detection, face recognition, face matching, or facial landmark extraction; it creates no faceprints, face templates, or biometric identifiers, and it never uses a photograph to identify or authenticate anyone.
The hair-colour preview runs a segmentation model entirely on your device. That model labels each pixel as hair, skin, clothing, or background so that colour is applied only to hair; the labels are discarded when the preview closes and are never uploaded.
Hair analysis. Photographs you submit for hair analysis are transmitted over TLS to our backend on Google Cloud (region us-central1) and to the Google Gemini API, which performs the hair reading. Google does not use these images to train its models. The photograph is deleted from our storage as soon as the analysis returns; only the resulting scores and text are kept.
Hair-style preview. If you try a hairstyle on your own photo, that photograph is transmitted the same way to Google’s generative image model, which returns a new image of you wearing the selected hairstyle. The model is instructed to change the hair only and to leave your face, expression, skin tone, clothing and background exactly as they are, so that the result is recognisably you; nothing is measured, extracted, or derived from your facial features at any point, and no face detection or recognition is performed. The source photograph is deleted from our storage as soon as the render finishes or fails. The generated image is stored under your device identifier so it appears in your gallery, until you delete it.
Photographs you save to your hair journey are stored under your device identifier until you delete them individually or use Settings → Delete my data, which erases all stored photographs and analysis data. No photograph or face data is sold, shared for advertising, or disclosed to any third party other than Google as our processor.
Your control over photographs
Every photograph in the app is yours to remove: delete a single day from your hair journey, delete a generated image from your gallery, or use Settings → Delete my data to erase all photographs, analysis results and progress from your device and from our servers at once. Deleting the app removes the local copies as well.
6. Data retention
We keep information for as long as needed to provide the Services and for legitimate operational, security, and legal purposes. You may request deletion of your hair-care data from within the app (Settings → delete data) or by emailing hello@jazzgames.net. After deletion, your device identifier may be retained solely so Premium purchases can still be restored.
7. Children
Kera is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe we have such information, contact hello@jazzgames.net and we will delete it promptly.
8. International transfers
Information may be processed in countries other than your own, including where our service providers operate. By using the Services, you understand that your information may be transferred to and processed in those locations in accordance with this Policy.
9. Your choices & rights
- Limit or reset advertising identifiers in your device settings
- Decline App Tracking prompts on iOS
- Delete your Kera data in-app or by contacting us
- Uninstall the app at any time using your device’s standard uninstall flow
Depending on where you live, you may have rights to access, correct, or delete personal information we hold about you. To exercise these rights, email hello@jazzgames.net.
10. Security
We use reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect information. No method of transmission or storage is completely secure; we cannot guarantee absolute security.
